Ruby Johnson - Online Memorial Website

Ruby Anne Marie Johnson, "Roo", was born on December 24, 1998 in Rapid City, SD to Ruby Johnson and Henry Bakker. She grew up in Rapid City and attended Rapid City YMCA daycare. She was a beautiful angel who's smile was contagious. She was loving and touched the hearts of all who met her. She later moved with her mother to Las Vegas, NV where she attended two amazing schools, Goynes Elementary and Kitty Ward Elementary. There she was taught and loved by some of the most amazing teachers, aides, and staff that anyone could ask for. Roo was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome in 2007 and had a tough couple of years battling against the effects of the disorder. Through it all she had a sunny disposition and an infectious smile. You couldn't help but smile back at her. She loved the Itsy Bitsy Spider song and enjoyed episodes of Blues Clues and The Wizard of Oz. Roo drifted back to heaven on April 27, 2010. She left us peacefully in her sleep from her bed at home. She is preceeded in death by her Grandparents, Henry and Ruby Johnson, her Great Aunts Darlene Woods and Marlene Bodden, her Great Uncles Robert and Ralph Brown and her Uncle Alan Johnson. Staying behind and loving her until they are able to join her again are her Parents, Ruby and Frank Silvia and Henry Bakker, her siblings, Sarah, Amber, Francis and Felicity Silvia and Casandra, Kenny and Kimberly Bakker. A memorial service is being held on May 12, 2010 at 3:30pm at Palm Mortuary Northwest, in Las Vegas, NV.
